My good friend said the other day: “I always tell people that being in the will of God is actually so much easier than forcing your own way.” It sounds simple, but actually, this is PROFOUND! Why? Because the WORLD is ALWAYS trying to convince us the OPPOSITE is true!
Have you ever heard anyone say:
“The standards taught in the Bible are impossible for any normal person.”
“People who Live that way are too 'hardcore Christian'”
“The only people who can be that ‘into’ their faith are pastors”
Ever heard any of these opinions? Don’t let comments like these slide off so easily! The enemy is a great DECEIVER. His greatest weapon is SUBTLETY. He would love for us to accept these things as truth, or better yet, not even CONSIDER them, and then move on.
Why? Because if we actually PAUSE, take the time to CONSIDER these things, it would give God enough room to break through the noise to speak TRUTH over our lives!
And the truth is...life is actually so much BETTER when we SURRENDER to the will of God! God knows the desires of our hearts—He’s not surprised by our dreams or our hopes. He put many of them inside of us Himself! His way is the way we are all secretly, sometimes unknowingly desiring !
Take time today to consciously STOP, SURRENDER, and EXPECT for Him to nudge your heart into His perfect will for your life!
