3 WAYS God Uses Disappointments to Your ADVANTAGE

We’ve all felt it. The sting that comes when something we had dared to hope for doesn’t pan out. The worst case scenario. What you were praying wouldn’t happen HAS and it leaves you feeling like you never should have been stupid enough to hope for that thing at all.

And you know what sometimes makes the disappointment even worse? Bad advice. People in your life who you turn to to feel better but leave you feeling even more empty and frustrated than you had initially.

I’ve been in this position SO many times in virtually every aspect of my life. And you know what DOES make it better? Knowing that God’s answers are always either “Yes” or--and here’s the kicker--”I have something better in mind.”

The next time things don’t go your way--before you vent about it to a friend or your parents, keep these three things in mind:

1. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for their is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:12

Sometimes God will allow painful things to happen to us so that we will FINALLY realize that HE is the only thing who can complete us.

2. “You don’t realize now what I am doing. But later you will understand.” John 13:7

He wants you to snuggle up to Him and tell Him your dreams. What better way to start that conversation than when a dream YOU had didn’t work out? Okay God--so if this amazing thing isn’t in my future--what is YOUR plan? Clue: It’s better! 3. “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

He HEARS you. And HE is the one who is RUNNING THE UNIVERSE. Who else could better comfort or help you in a time of need?

Remember: He’s got someting better in mind Xx #babysteps #simplesoundperfect #haplous
